Asparagus


Benefits : Rich source of folate. Useful source of beta carotene, vitamin C & E. Diuretic (Promotes the production of urine). Mild laxative. Traditionally it have been used as a tonic and a sedative and also to treat neuritis, rheumatism, poor eyesight and toothache.

Drawback : Sufferers of GOUT should also be aware that it is one of the few vegetables high in purines.
