Hurricane Irene

Stinson has owned the home, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, since 1963. "We were pretending, just for a moment, that the cottage was still behind us and we were just sitting there watching the sunset," said Erin afterward.

A Providence City truck was struck by a falling tree from the winds of Tropical Storm Irene in Providence, R.I. The worker was taken to a local hospital. Irene was to continue weakening as it passes over New England, and it's expected to move over eastern Canada by Sunday night.
