SIBU: Police raided two cyber gambling dens under ‘OpsDadu’ on Wednesday afternoon and arrested 17 persons.
Sarawak Energy Berhad technicians who tagged along with the police helped to disconnect the electricity supply to the two premises. Police first raided a construction site in Langsat Road around 3.30pm and arrested seven men and a woman aged between 19 and 50.
They seized 19 computers and RM230. Fifteen minutes later, they raided a premise in Sungai Merah and nabbed seven men and two women aged 21 to 40. Seized were 19 computers and RM558.
All the 17 arrested have been placed under a three-day remand. - Borneo Post
